Did the court have a named person?<br /><br />Street beggars and Drunk & Disorderlies are two of the categories courts deal with as best they can, which in reality is probably not that well or much help. Courts are not a social service and don't have means of rehabilitation at that low end of the scale. Often the offender is held in custody overnight (particularly D&D) and is simply fined a small amount and the fine paid off as time served.
