With the closure programme
of magistrates` courts not yet complete the marginal cases are now the subject
of bitter dispute with HMCTS using all arguments available whether viable or
not to justify closures and the running down of courts` listings. The
recriminations being bandied about at Gloucester Magistrates` Courts are
typical. This is not the first such case and will not be the last.
